Proses Politik Irak Menjadi Negara Federal (Studi Kasus Perubahan Susunan Negara Irak Tahun 2003-2005)

Abstract

USA invasion Iraq in 2003 has conquered this nation by falling out the regime of Saddam Husein. It changed this country into a federal government. Considering to the issue, this research was conducted as federal theory according to Carl J. Friedrich and William H. Riker. The results of the study revealed that intervention of USA, the role of Turkey and the desire of the Shiite and Kurds group in the case of economic and politic motive were mentioned as the factors in becoming Iraq to become the federal country. Besides, some political processes were committed in determining Iraq to become the federal country. Those are transitional government, public election and referendum.
